Johannesburg Housing Company (JHC) is an independent, private sector, social housing organisation. Since 1995, the company has focused on the Johannesburg inner city. We have developed more than 4 467 rental housing units, setting up homes for more than 19 478 people in low to middle-income communities. We have 34 buildings in total, but several are combined for management purposes, bringing the number of buildings to 29.

Hlanganani is the first social rental housing at Cosmo City, and JHC’s frst development outside the inner city. Cosmo City is a huge suburban development located off Malibongwe Drive just beyond Kya Sand. This building is designed in an arrangement of 21 blocks of two and three-storey walk-up buildings. It will provide a total of 281 flats, including one, two, and three-bedroom units to suit individual tenants, people sharing or families. The building is set in a landscape garden and has ample parking space as well as outdoor play areas for young children.

Like all JHC’s buildings, Hlanganani offers tenants excellent building management services, with a full time building manager on site, 24-hours manned security, and contracted cleaning, maintenance and gardening services.
