RAFC to host Night Series
RANDBURG – The Randburg Association Football Club will host a Night Series on 1, 2 and 3 May.
The Randburg Association Football Club (RAFC) will play host to a Night Series that will take place on 1, 2 and 3 May.
According to club organiser Melanie Nunes, age groups that range from U8 to U12 will be able to take place in the series.
She added that some players from RAFC will be taking place in the Night Series. “The secret of all the club’s success is longevity and the fact that every RAFC player is dedicated fully to the game of football.”
This is what four of the players from RAFC had to say about the club:
Victor Ngoepe said, “I have been a member at RAFC for the last 10 years and recently, I have been chosen to play for the RAFC Castle League Team. The true success behind the club can be seen in the number of professional players in the country that used to play for this club.
Liam Anthony, who has been a member at the club since he was five years old, said the club has been like a home to him – he is currently playing for the U14 Academy team.
Ross Mudie has been a member at the club for the last 15 years. “I started when I was just five and I have been at the club ever since. My dad used to play for the club as well and for me it’s like family.
Kayla Nunes played in the U6 and U11 boys league although she is a girl. She is currently playing for the junior girls’ team.
Angelique Buttress has been a member for the last five years and she explained that it’s a fun way to relax and meet new friends.
