Results: Northgate Road Race a success
NORTHGATE – Fun times at Northgate Road Race
Fitness fanatics braved the cold and took on The 22nd annual Northgate Road Race.
The historic road race was hosted in partnership with the shopping centre and Roodepoort Athletics Club Northgate Shopping Centre on 8 July. Around 3 000 runners, some coming as from as far away as KwaZulu-Natal and other provinces, lined up in the early hours of the morning, braving the chilly weather to participate.

Age was not a factor as runners young and old competed in the 5km fun run, 10km run and there was also a category for walkers, a new addition to the annual race.

Natalie Kinsley, marketing manager of the shopping centre was delighted at the turnout, not only from the runners who participated but from the community who came to watch.
“It was awesome to watch the race and how everyone enjoyed themselves. It was a great way for family and friends to spend some time together and the race itself was a great success. I am sure next year’s race will be bigger and better.”
