Olivedale Tennis Club turns 30 with clubhouse celebration

Members of the Olivedale Tennis Club came out in numbers to celebrate the club’s 30th birthday.

Olivedale Tennis Club celebrated its 30th birthday on June 21, with a fun evening at the clubhouse joined by current and former members.
Teddy Reddy, chairperson of the club, welcomed all attendee, acknowledging the committee for their dedication to the club. “We are thrilled to have everyone here to celebrate this incredible milestone. Our club has grown, not in size, but in spirit over the last three decades. We have seen countless matches, both competitive and friendly, and we have forged everlasting friendships along the way.”
Among the guests were some of the longest-serving members, and former chairpersons, who have helped shape the club into what it is today.

Reddy acknowledged their leadership, their vision, and the hard work they put in to ensure the club’s success. “We owe so much to those who laid the foundation for what we enjoy today, and we thank them for their unwavering commitment.”
As they looked back, the club remembered members who have passed on. “We remember our fallen angels and hope they continue their game. As we look back, it is equally exciting to look forward, to the future.”

Reddy further stated that the next chapter is full of potential, with new members, fresh ideas, and many more years of fun, fitness, and community ahead.
He extended a heartfelt thanks to volunteers, coaches, members, and families who make the club such a special place. “Your support, whether big or small, has been integral to our continued success. So, as we celebrate 30 years of history, let’s also look forward to many more years of growth and enjoyment. The next chapter is upon us.”
