Rand Park Primary hockey team crowned champions of District 10

Rand Park Primary's Red Sox hockey team (U13A boys) secured a thrilling victory in the District 10 league final, earning themselves the title of champions.

Rand Park Primary’s Red Sox Hockey Team (U13A boys) ended the hockey season as champions in the District 10 Hockey League, beating Trinityhouse Randpark Ridge in the final.

The team will now face the top teams in districts 2, 8, 9 and 12, in the Best of the Best tournament.

This win speaks volumes about the strength of sports at the school. The school has consistently invested in its hockey programme, and the boys’ latest achievement highlights the skill and dedication of the players.

Owen Hurter and Matthew Thompson, Red Sox coaches, said that the victory has been a huge confidence booster for the boys as they prepare to compete in the prestigious Best of the Best tournament.

“Coming off the back of a big win, the team enters the competition with both momentum and belief, qualities that will serve them well against some of the strongest schools in the region.

Hurter added that the teachers, parents, and fellow learners have all celebrated the team’s success, knowing that the boys’ commitment has brought great honour to the school.
