Smith Embassy, will blow your mind
LINDEN – Rock out with Smith Embassy one of South Africa’s rapidly up and coming bands.
Smith Embassy is blowing the ears and minds of the local music scene.
Ryan Norwood-Young (base), Lu ‘The Leveller’ (guitar), Wayne van Drunick (drums) and Michael Marshall (vocals) sum up what is a highly
promising groove and rock band.

Drawing their influence from ’70s rock the culmination of sound leaves the listener with a pop, groove and rock sensibility.
Only being together officially for about six months has not deterred the quality of sound Smith Embassy is producing.

The name Smith Embassy like any other successful band has a weird and wonderful history.
Originating from a former club in Durban called The Embassy, on Smith Street.
The mostly electric rock band has stripped down to the bare essentials of the rock, groove genre.
Their favourite song BFF too has a funky and saucy history.

Their music mutates constantly throughout the grassroots to recording process.
Smith Embassy sees an extremely bright future for the band, hoping to reach radio city as well as perform at the larger festivals.
