Face mask initiative for Honeydew police
HONEYDEW – Daleen Beyleveld worked tirelessly to craft over 150 face masks for Honeydew police officers to use.
The members of the South African Police Service are on the frontlines of making sure that the laws put in place to help to curb the spread of Covid-19 are enforced.
They are essential services and have to help the public with issues of crime daily. This is why the police relish any form of protection they can get for their good health.
One such form of protection are face masks, and the Honeydew Community Police Forum would like to thank a resident for her generous hand-made donation.
Daleen Beyleveld, who is one of the people that make these re-usable face masks from material on behalf of the Facebook Group South Africa Face Mask Initiative, worked tirelessly to craft over 150 face masks for Honeydew police officers to use.
The CPF’s Michael Steyn said, “We would like to send her our sincere appreciation. She has managed to make 150 of these masks which will be given to our police officers at Honeydew Police Station. This is much-needed support in the fight against Covid-19.”
He added that the CPF is grateful for all the support they and the police have received over the past three weeks. “If there is anyone who would like to sponsor gloves, masks or wet wipes (which are used as a filter in these masks) kindly get in contact with us,” said Steyn
