Man stabbed nine times after having car trouble

'Incident still under investigation by local authorities.'

A man believed to be in his 40s was allegedly brutally attacked on the N12 near Westonaria on Thursday night.

According to Pieter Rossouw, ER24 spokesperson, the man allegedly stopped on the side of the road due to a mechanical failure in his car when he was approached by three men.

The men allegedly then started assaulting the man and when he tried to defend himself, they started stabbing him.

“The man sustained nine stab wound across his chest and back. ER24 paramedics arrived on scene and found the man lying on the side of the road. ER24 treated and transported the man to Robinson Private Hospital for further treatment.”

The incident is still under investigation by local authorities.
