Randfontein dancers excel at championships

Four of Randfontein's best dancers have qualified to take part in the European Dance and Modelling Championships.

Several dancers from the Young Performers Dance Academy (YPDA) in Randfontein recently participated in the International Fine Arts Association SA (IFAA SA) International Championships SA in Pretoria.

During this event these dancers qualified to participate in the European Dance and Modeling Championships that takes place in Barcelona during April next year.

Four dancers, ranging in ages from eight to 17, received their IFAA SA Championship colours during this event.

Natasha Potas achieved colours for Hip Hop and Disco; Talita Steyn and Nikita Putter received colours for Hip Hop, Modern and Disco and these three students will represent YPDA in Barcelona.

Chantel Pretorius received her colours in Hip Hop and will represent the IFAA SA Diamond Team in Spain.

Randfontein’s own YPDA dance instructor, Andrea Hawla will represent the IFAA SA Diamond team in Modern and Disco dancing.
