The Randfontein SAPS have launched a massive manhunt for three suspects who robbed a local petrol station on Fedler Street in Aureus on 23 September at approximately 7pm
It is understood that at the time of the incident the 50-year-old garage owner was inside the business premises.
Three suspects entered the shop pretending to be customers.
The produced a firearm and a knife and forced the man into the back of the shop at gunpoint and ensued to bag his cellphones and an undisclosed amount of money.
According to Randfontein SAPS spokesperson Captain Appel Ernst, the suspects also drove off in the man’s bakkie with the registration number BX25MZGP.
“I cannot reveal whether or not we have a lead but I can say that the police are working around the clock to locate the suspects.
“We are currently investigating the case and hopefully we will make an arrest soon,’ says Ernst.
