Murder, kidnapping case delayed for further probe
Outstanding scene photographs and witness statements have delayed proceedings in the Randfontein Magistrate's Court against two teenagers charged with murder and kidnapping.
The Randfontein Magistrate’s Court has postponed the murder and kidnapping case involving the death of Ashley George and the disappearance of Fazel Benns to September 22 for further investigation.
Two accused, including a minor, previously appeared in court, where each was granted R3 000 bail.
National Prosecuting Authority spokesperson Magaboke Mohlatole confirmed the postponement, stating that photos from the scene remained outstanding. The delay will allow authorities to complete remaining aspects of the investigation.

Previous postponements enabled the investigating officer to obtain outstanding witness statements.
The charges relate to the alleged kidnapping and murder of George, who was killed, and Benns, who remains missing.
The accused are expected back in court on September 22 as the investigation continues.
