Rainbow Daycare enjoys successful fund raiser

Rainbow Daycare Centre gets huge support from a local NGo, Junk Life, who organised a successful fun day for the centre's benifit.

Rainbow Daycare Centre was once again the beneficiary of a successful fund raising event, hosted by Junk Life on 5 October.

According to the project manager at Rainbow Daycare, Tatum Solomons, Junk Life is a organisation that motivates the youth to stay away from drugs and alcohol abuse and, instead of living a junk life, strive to be someone better.

“The owners of Junk Life, David Rustoff and Jabu Ndebele, decided to host a fun day in Toekomsrus. All the money raised during this event was in aid of Rainbow Daycare Centre,” says Tatum.

“On behalf of all the children at Rainbow Daycare Centre, I would like to express our heartfelt gratitude to the Lord, Junk LIfe Productions, the community of Toekomsrus and all our additional sponsors for this successful fun day,” says Tatum.

She adds that in addition to raising funds for the centre, they were able to raise awareness around the plight of children living with disabilities.

“In today’s fast-paced environment, where monetary goals are too often the determining factor of success, we owe it to ourselves to take time on occasion and reflect on that which cannot be measured in rands and cents, but instead in the lives we touch,” says Tatum.

“Therefore, we thank all our sponsors. Your support has made a positive differance in the lives of children with special needs and has given them a new lease on life.”
