Ward councillors collect goods for Hospice

'These goods can now be sold to generate an income for their work.'

DA councillors and volunteers recently hosted a charity drive in aid of Hospice West Rand in Helikon Park (Ward 7).

According to the chairperson for Ward 7, Eddie Krog, they went door to door to collect non-perishable foods and second-hand goods.

“Everything that was collected was donated to Hospice West Rand. This charity organisation then sells the goods to generate an income for their work,” says Krog.

He says that staff and committee members, as well as various other volunteers joined the action and made this charity drive a truly memorable event.

“I want to thank each person who donated towards the charity drive as well as every member and volunteer for their participation,” ends Krog.
