Major Portuguese festival coming to town

Prepare yourselves for the Festa Portugesa de Randfontein on 26 October at the St Anthony Catholic Church. This Portuguese festival is set to take place at the St Anthony’s Catholic Church in Randfontein.

According to Sandra Nascimonto who is one of the organisers, residents of Randfontein and other parts of the West Rand can expect loads of fun and entertainment for the whole family on the day.

“We hope that people will come in their numbers to witness the culture of the Portuguese,” says Nascimonto.

She adds that people also can look forward to seeing traditional dancers and tasting traditional food as well as entertainment for the children, among other things.
