EFF murder case: Accused’s lawyer quits

Man accused of stabbing a local EFF member to death to find new lawyer.

Interesting developments unfolded in the Randfontein Magistrates’ Court on Friday 30 January as the EFF murder case continued.

According to the herald’s reliable source, “The accused’s lawyer did not show up at the court proceedings that day. It was said the lawyer will not represent the murder accused any longer.”

According to Christina Mabala, chairperson of the EFF West Rand, “The lawyer is a private lawyer and not a state lawyer.”

The accused will appear in court again on Thursday 5 February for a bail application.
