‘Load shedding – get used to it’
Load shedding for the next two years.
For the next two years South Africa will be saddled with load shedding – especially those who live in defaulting municipalities.
This is what Public Enterprises Minister, Lynne Brown told media in response to the recent wave of load shedding. She explains that load shedding is just something South Africans have to get used to.
“It is time for South Africans and the economy to adapt,” she said.
Over the past few days, Eskom has been load shedding more than ever – with stages reaching as high as stage 3.
This load shedding is besides the load shedding residents of Randfontein and Westonaria will face come early June, when we will be cut off twice a day, every day.
Public Enterprises Minister, Lynne Brown told media that, “There will be load shedding for the next two years.”
According to Eskom, the maintenance period is during summer in order to prepare for winter, however, on maintenance Brown said, “I think we need to stick to maintenance. Even in winter.”
With this in mind, the general public, especially those living in a defaulting municipality will be experiencing a dark two years ahead.
