Woman killed in West Rand crash

Two other people also sustained minor injuries.

A woman was killed and two others sustained minor injuries when their vehicle overturned on Albertina Sisulu drive in Bosmont, west of Johannesburg during the early hours of Sunday over the weekend.

According to ER24 spokesperson Werner Vermaak, “At approximately 4am, paramedics arrived on the scene where they found a woman, believed to be 25 years old, a few meters away from her vehicle.

Upon assessment they [paramedics] found that she showed no signs of life. There was nothing that they could do for her and declared her dead on scene.

“Two other women were found on the scene with minor injuries. It is believed that they climbed out of the vehicle shortly after the collision. Both were assessed on scene and transported to Life Flora Clinic for further treatment.”

The exact cause of the collision is not yet known. The incident was handed over to the Johannesburg Metro Police for further investigation.
