Why blood matters: Behind the donation
Ever wondered where your blood goes after you donate? SANBS’ new documentary reveals the journey from donor to patient as it marks 25 years of saving lives.
Have you ever wondered what happens to your blood after you donate? Where does it go, who receives it, and what happens behind the scenes before it becomes a lifeline for someone in need?
If so, why not join the South African National Blood Service (SANBS) for the premiere of their documentary Why Blood Matters.
Senior consultant at Meropa Tshilidzi Matidza said this October, SANBS is inviting you beyond the donation chair to reveal the people, processes and stories behind South Africa’s blood supply.
Matidza said that as SANBS marks 25 years of serving with heart, the documentary offers a rare behind-the-scenes look at the journey from donor to patient, and the extraordinary impact of an act that takes just a little of your time.
