Woman critical after being struck by car

The vehicle that apparently hit the woman was not found on scene.

A woman in her 30s is in a critical condition after she was hit by a vehicle in the early hours of Sunday morning on the R41 in Kagiso, West of Johannesburg.

ER24 paramedics were called to the scene by provincial services and on arrival found the patient being treated by paramedics.

According to ER24 spokesperson, Russel Meiring, “On further assessment, paramedics found that the patient had sustained a serious injury to her head and legs.

Treatment and advanced life support interventions were performed on the patient before she was transported to Johannesburg General Hospital for further treatment.

“The vehicle that apparently hit the woman was not found on scene.”

Local authorities were on scene for further investigations.
