There was somewhat chaos during peak traffic on Tuesday on Main Reef Road after a taxi collided with another vehicle.
A blue Mazda 6 was travelling towards Randfontein CBD at the robot near Yellow Stone car dealership.
Martin Pieters, driver of the vehicle that was crashed into explained,
The robot was green and as I passed the robot the taxi drove over the red robot and crashed into me.”
Helipad paramedics and a policeman from Westonaria were on scene first followed by a Powergate Towing truck.
The occupants of the taxi sustained minor injuries and one female occupant was taking to the hospital by an EMS ambulance.
Pieters said he was not injured but suffered a headache. This accident led to traffic being slowed down as it happened right in the middle of the intersection.
