Police search for family of a victim of crime
The cause of the victim's injuries are unclear to police.
The Randfontein Police are urgently requesting assistance from the public in tracing the family of a victim of crime.
According to Captain Appel Ernst, spokesperson for the Randfontein Police, a David Tonko was seriously injured in Hillside on 4 May.
She said the circumstances surrounding his injuries are not clear. He was either hit by a car or assaulted. After the incident Tonko was taken to a local hospital.
At the time of the incident Tonko resided and worked at plot 38 in Ten Acres and was in a relationship with a woman named Lettie Motone who resided at the same address.
Tonko is approximately 1.6 metres tall and has a tattoo on his left forearm. He has been estimated to be between the ages of 25 to 35-years-old.
It has been alleged by Tonko’s employer that he was visiting his family during the weekend prior to the incident.
Police would appreciate any information that could lead them to Tonko’s family. The investigating officer, Warrant Officer Karen Nel can be contacted on 011 278 8100.
