Police: Badly decomposed body discovered by shepherd herding cows.
The badly decomposed body of a man has been found in an open field, Randfontein Police say.
Captain Appel Ernst, Randfontein Police spokesperson confirmed a body was found in the vicinity of Cooke Plant on the R559 Road at around 1.30pm last Monday.
“It is alleged that a shepherd was herding cows in the area when he came across the badly decomposed body in the open field.
The victim was a male approximately 40 to 50 years of age. No identification was found on the body and the police are urgently requesting assistance in identifying the deceased.
“A murder case is under investigation.”
