Nurses are a hospital’s backbone
Nurses at Life Robinson were treated on International Nurses' Day.
Robinson Private Hospital cares greatly for their nurses and pampered them on International Nurses Day which is also Florence Nightingale‘s birthday.
The celebration took place on Thursday, 12 May. Nurses were welcomed into the hospital at reception by a banner thanking them for all their hard work throughout the year.
On the day Life Healthcare also celebrated their Great 100 Nurses of which some were from Life Robinson and the nominated nurses from Robinson wore their Great 100 broaches with pride.
The nurses at Robinson are as many as an army’s troops and subsequently they were split up into different groups so that the hospital could function while its metaphorical lifeline was being pampered.
The nurses were treated to a candle lighting ceremony, breakfast and lunch. During the ceremony they said their Nurse’s Pledge of Service to remind themselves what it is their mandate is and how Nightingale would have carried out her duties – with a care.
“Nurses are the backbone of our business and at the forefront of allowing Life Healthcare Group to deliver on our vision of being a world class provider of healthcare for all,” said Dr Sharon Vasuthevan, Group Nursing Executive at Life Healthcare.
