Cansa Shavathon: Gear up to get shaved

'We have all been touched by cancer or know someone who is'

It’s almost time for the National Cansa Shavathon, so gear up to get shaved or sprayed.

The purpose of the Shavathon is for ordinary citizens in every walk of life to show their solidarity with cancer survivors.

“We have all been touched by cancer or know someone who is,” said Linda Steyn, Cansa Community Mobiliser.

This year, Cansa is specifically calling on businesses to participate in the Shavathon. In addition, they’re also calling on malls, schools and churches to come on board.

The Shavathon will be held at various shopping centres and malls on from Saturday, 25 February to Sunday, 26 February.

Corporates, schools and churches and other organisations will be targeted at various dates during February and March.

For more information on the Shavathon, contact Linda on 011 768 4342 or lsteyn@cansa.org.za.

“Please contact me with any enquiries or suggestions to make the 2017 Shavathon a success. Remember that, without your support, Cansa will not be able to help others in their battle against cancer,” Linda said.
