Ministers prepare churches for Easter

Services were held throughout March and April to spiritually prepare different churches for the big day.

The Mohlakeng Ministers Fellowship hosted prayer services in preparation for Easter.

The aim of the services were to spiritually prepare members of different churches in Mohlakeng.

The first service was on 7 March and the last one on 4 April. Those present prayed that crime, accidents, abuse against women and children, drug abuse would end. They also prayed for law enforcers and the difficult task they face.

“God must give them wisdom to deal with crime over Easter Weekend,” Reverend Naughty Magoai said.

The fellowship had certain scriptures prepared for different churches and read mostly from Mathew and John.

On Tuesday, 7 March the Mohlakeng Ministers Fellowship were at the Salvation Church where two of their reverends gave a sermon and read from the book of Mathew chapter 4:1–11.

On Tuesday, 14 March they held a service at Ibandla La Bapostola Church. John 12:1–7 were the scriptures they focused on.

On 21 and 28 March, Luke 22:7–12 was read to the Diale Street Pentecostal Church. The message to the St John Prophecy Church was based on Mathew 26:20–25.

The last service was held at St Emmanuel Church and the book of John chapter 12:1–8 was read.

“We thank the community and churches for making these services possible, and for the year’s successes so far. We hope to see you again and we pray God will protect you,” Rev Magoai said.
