Mohlakeng couples hike to bond in Ruimsig

At least 25 couples from Mohlakeng were brave enough to take on a hike aimed at team building and bonding.

Twenty-five couples from Mohlakeng went on a gruelling yet fun-filled hiking trip at the Walter Sisulu National Botanical Garden in Ruimsig recently – an initiative organised by Mandla Hamnca of Proud Fathers.

Mandla said the hike is one of many of initiatives that are aimed at building families and relationships.

“An activity of this kind is one way of turning physical fitness or sport into bonding for couples and families.”

Each couple received a goodie-bag containing Jelly Tots, energy bars and bottled water, which most certainly came in handy as they walked.

After the hike, fitness instructors Thabo Polumo and Hilda Biyela took the couples on a mini yoga class while social worker Sidney Mabaso conducted psychometric tests aimed at finding out how much they know and understand about each other’s needs and interests. Pastor Clement Matsitse concluded the outing with a motivational talk and prayer.
