Biker seriously injured in crash

Light motor vehicle and motorbike collide in Carletonville, leaving man seriously injured.

A man was left seriously injured after a collision between a motorcycle and light motor vehicle on Annan Road in Carletonville on Tuesday (19 September).

Russel Meiring, ER24 spokesperson said paramedics arrived on the scene at 6.30pm to find a man lying next to his motorcycle. The light motor vehicle was parked a short distance away.

“The motorcyclist was assessed and found to have sustained several injuries and was in a serious condition.

Paramedics treated him before he was transported to Netcare Krugersdorp Hospital for further care. The driver of the light motor vehicle was assessed and found to have escaped injury,” Meiring said.

Local authorities were on the scene for further investigations.
