The Herald spoke to Peter Mathebula from the Department of Infrastructure at the Rand West Local City Municipality, who said they met with Niemand, and found a solution to this problem.

Niemand said they will fix the roads, clear the area where the trucks currently park, and plant grass. From now on the trucks will use the parking bay designed for them. The giant potholes on the bridge will also be repaired.

A day after the telephonic conversation with Mathebula, he gave Niemand the go-ahead.

Niemand is very positive about this project, and is eager to start this project. “We can now start the alterations,” he said.
