Four injured after two bakkies collide

Crash between two bakkies left four people injured outside Westonaria yesterday.

Four people were left injured following a collision between two bakkies on the Hillshaven Road outside of Westonaria on Wednesday, 13 December.

ER24 paramedics arrived on the scene shortly after 6.30am to find the two bakkies on the side of the road. Four patients were found walking around on the scene.

According to Russel Meiring, ER24 spokesperson, “Paramedics assessed the patients and found that all four had sustained moderate injuries. Fortunately, no serious injuries or fatalities were found on the scene. The patients were treated for their injuries and were thereafter transported to the Carletonville Hospital for further treatment.”

The details surrounding this incident are not yet known but local authorities were on the scene for further investigations.
