• 27–29 December: Explore the Cradle of Humankind
The Cradle of Humankind is one of eight spectacular World Heritage Sites in South Africa. It is lush, it is brimming with history, it is beautiful. On this three-day, two-night tour, you will delve into the history of humankind by visiting the Sterkfontein Caves and revel in other magnificent archaeological finds. Visitors will have the privilege and pleasure of walking with rhinos as well as get the chance to meet a talented local sculptor. The Randfontein Show committee members have finalised preparations for the upcoming Show at the Greenhills Stadium next year. The theme for the four days of fun, food and entertainment that the Randfontein Show is so well-known for is ‘Glasses’. All products on sale at the market are pre-selected to ensure variety, excellent quality and, of course, reasonable prices. In a faraway kingdom, the green ogre Shrek finds his swamp invaded by fairy-tale characters who’ve been cast out by Lord Farquaad, a tiny terror with big ambitions. When Shrek sets off with a wise-cracking donkey to confront Farquaad, he’s handed a task – if he rescues feisty Princess Fiona from the dragon-guarded tower, he will get his swamp back.
