Mr Gauteng 2018 – entries open!
One of SA's self-made businessmen from Mohlakeng and a 2016 Mr SA finalist urges youngsters to enter Mr Gauteng 2018.
Godfrey Mphatswe from Mohlakeng, a Mr South Africa finalist for 2016, is calling on all youngsters between the ages of 18 and 30 to enter the Mr Gauteng 2018 competition.
According to Godfrey, this will be the first Mr Gauteng pageant, and is scheduled to take place on Friday, 30 November. The closing date for entries is Saturday, 31 March.
He explained, “This pageant covers the Gauteng region and is registered with the Companies and Intellectual Property Commission (CIPC). The pageant was founded to provide a platform for young men in Gauteng to showcase their capabilities in leadership and community-building.
“The individual who will be crowned as Mr Gauteng will dedicate his time to serving the Gauteng Province through charity work, youth empowerment initiatives and other incredible acts of kindness.
“This pageant will prioritise the building of strong, confident, passionate and ambitious men. The contestant’s skills, attitudes and behaviour will be put to the test to determine the deserving candidate.”
Gee, as Godfrey is affectionately known, is one of South Africa’s self-made businessmen and managing director as well as founder of Gee Junction (Pty) Ltd. He was declared a Mr SA board member during the Mr SA 2016 competition. Amongst many other achievements, Gee is the Face of Bogart 2017, a model and an ambassador for Door of Hope, a charity that cares for underprivileged children.
