Ten injured when taxis crash
An accident between two taxis in Westonaria yesterday left 10 people injured.
Ten people were left injured following a collision between two taxis on the R28 between Westonaria and Poortjie on Thursday afternoon (22 February).
ER24 paramedics, along with other services, found the two taxis in the left-hand lane of the road.
According to Russel Meiring, ER24 spokesperson, “The passengers had already climbed out of the vehicles and were walking around on the scene. Paramedics assessed them and found that 10 people had sustained injuries ranging from minor to moderate. Fortunately, no serious injuries or fatalities were found on the scene.

“The patients were treated for their injuries and transported to various hospitals in the area for further treatment.”
The exact cause of the collision is not yet known but local authorities were on the scene for further investigations.
