Fun run/ walk for baby Marno

Join in a morning of fun and do something good at the same time.

Community members are invited to put on their running gear for a good cause.

A fun run/ walk will be hosted to raise funds for baby Marno Greyvenstein who was born with numerous birth defects, resulting in him frequently visiting the hospital.

Marno, who is almost two years old, has already undergone 10 operations, of which six were open heart surgeries. He has had a feeding tube inserted into his stomach to aid with feeding, as well as a pacemaker to control his heartbeat.

The fun run/ walk will have two distances to choose from, namely a 2,5km and a 5km, and will take place at Laerskool Helderkruin, Koedoebessie Street, Helderkruin on 27 May.

The race will start at 8am, but registrations will be open from 7am. Entry fees are R100 per adult, R50 per child under 16 years of age, R20 per dog and children under two years of age are free.

There will be medals for the first 100 finishers as well as some great prizes to be won.

The event will be sponsored by Rox Sport Gym, Decathlon, KW Advance, Timeless, DMS Security, Apcan Security and Kruin Community Voluntary Association (KCVA).
