The Wisteria Blommeklub has kicked off its flower show and competition at Tambotie Mall on Thursday 24 May. Various forms of floral art are on display.
Chairman of the club, Leon Hefer said all the club members have rolled up their sleeves to showcase their very best for this competition.
“We have different themes and six categories for those who wish to enter. Our purpose is to give exposure to the club so that people can see what we are about,” Leon said.
“Three prizes will be awarded in each category, such as for best use of colour and best use of texture. The overall winner’s entry will be named Best On Show,” he explained.
Hefer said money will not be awarded as prizes, and he is most grateful to Vodacom, Absa, Mr Price and Chrystal that are sponsoring the competition.
Until the show ends on Sunday, 27 May at 2pm it will open at 8am on each of the remaining mornings.
