Randfontein Police are investigating a case of murder after man was found dead in pool of blood at Toekomsrus dumping site during the weekend.

A 45-year-old man was found dead in a pool of blood at a dumping site in Toekomsrus during the weekend.

Constable Carmen Hendricks, Randfontein Police spokesperson confirmed that one of the community members discovered him on Saturday, 6 October.

The community member requested assistance from the paramedics but the man had already passed away due to his injuries caused by an unknown sharp object. The suspects are unknown at this stage,” Hendricks said. 

She added police are urging community members who may have information about the incident to come forward by calling the police on 011 278 8100.
