Rand West SPCA opens charity shop
The shop is located on the Rand West SPCA premises and R'fonteiners are encouraged to come to the shop to see what the fuss is all about.
The Rand West SPCA launched its new Charity Shop on Sunday, 7 October.
After weeks of cleaning, washing walls and windows, sorting through thousands of books and categorising them, the SPCA Charity Shop has finally opened its doors to the public. According to Lorika Boshoff, chairperson of Rand West SPCA, they hope to raise more funds by means if the shop.
“We mostly sell second-hand books for a bargain and we also sell dog toys and beds that won’t break the bank. We hope to be able to sell starter packs soon so that people can purchase their necessities here when they adopt a dog or a cat,” she said.
The shop is located on the Rand West SPCA premises and R’fonteiners are encouraged to come to the shop to see what the fuss is all about.
“People can come and have a look at what we have to offer. There are a few jewels among the books. By supporting the charity shop you will enable us to help more animals.”
The public can also donate dog and cat accessories that are still in a usable condition. Book donations are also welcome.
