Eight suspects, all of them armed, targeted a business in Middelvlei late on Tuesday, 23 October.
According to Constable Carmen Hendricks, Randfontein Police spokesperson, “At about 10pm, while a guard was on duty with his colleague the electricity allegedly went off. All of a sudden they were approached by eight unknown men. They were armed and instructed the guards to be quiet.

“Their hands were tied up and the robbers ransacked the offices. They stole unknown items and drove off with the equipment. No shots were fired and no one was injured. The victims were rescued only the following morning when their managers arrived. The equipment was later found abandoned next to a road in Middelvlei,” she added.
The Randfontein Detectives are requesting the community to report any crime and to come forward if they have information regarding this incident.
