Randfontein Police are hunting for two suspects who stole a vehicle in Mohlakeng during the weekend.
Constable Carmen Hendricks, Randfontein Police spokesperson confirmed the incident took place at about 9pm on Nhlapo Street, Mohlakeng on Friday, 2 November.
“The 35-year-old man went to a spaza shop to buy bread while his girlfriend and baby waited in the vehicle. He was then approached by two unknown men who asked him where they could buy liquor. While answering them, one of them pointed a firearm at him and the other one grabbed him by the arm, pulling him to his vehicle,” he said.

She added that the assailant then pulled the woman out of the vehicle.
“She begged them to allow her to take their baby and they obliged. One of the attackers jumped into the victim’s silver Volkswagen Golf with registration number CT63MLGP and drove off. The other one drove away in another vehicle,” Hendricks said.
No shots were fired and no one was injured.
The police call on the help of the community members to assist them with information. Anyone with information can contact the Crime Stop number at 08600 10111 or SMS Crime Line at 32211 to report a crime anonymously.
