Randfontein Police say an unidentified man has died of an apparent gunshot wound at Leratong Hospital during the weekend.
It’s alleged the shooting took place on the corner of Lazaar Avenue and Union Street in Randgate.

Constable Carmen Hendricks, Randfontein Police spokesperson confirmed a murder case is being investigated.
“A Leratong Hospital staff member on duty was informed that a man had a bullet wound on the right upper arm but the victim passed away upon his arrival at the hospital,” Hendricks said.
The Randfontein Police Detectives are requesting assistance from the public to come forward if they have any information regarding this incident. They can be contacted on 011 278 8100.
