Baagi Ba West Rand launches Educational Road Activation Campaign
The organisation said it fights for South Africans arrested overseas to be sent home.
Baagi Ba West Rand, in partnership with Baagi Ba South Africa, launched an Educational Road Activation Campaign on Saturday, 1 December.
The aim is to educate the community and the South African government about drug trafficking, prostitution, human trafficking and commercial child sex.
The organisation said it advocates for all South African citizens arrested in foreign countries for drug trafficking and prostitution to be transferred to South Africa.
“It is a great concern that some of these people are from our community; that’s why an advocacy structure is needed to curb these illicit activities,” said Glory Matipile, the General Secretary and founder of Baagi Ba West Rand.
