The Rand West City Local Municipality (RWCLM) has informed residents about faulty circuit breakers at the Westergloor Substation that will cause power outages in the following Randfontein areas: Pelzvale, Aureus, Finsbury, Ten Acres and Toekomsrus.
According to the Tshidiso Tlharipe, RWCLM spokesperson, the problem is being attended to, but until it has been resolved, these areas will be without electricity.
“Also, there will be load-shedding between 4pm and 8.30pm in the areas served by the same substation,” Thlaripe added.
