The Carletonville Family Violence, Child Protection and Sexual Offences (FCS) Unit has released an identikit of a suspect after he allegedly repeatedly raped an 18-year-old woman in an open veld next to a guest house in Simunye.
Sergeant Linkie Lefakane, Bekkersdal Police spokesperson said that at about 7pm, when the victim was walking home, she was ambushed by a man armed with a knife.
He allegedly threatened her with the knife and dragged her to an open veld where he raped her. A case was reported to the police and the suspect is still at large,” Lefakane said.
She added that the suspect is approximately 1,6m tall, of medium built and has a scar under his one eye.
“He was wearing a black hoody jacket and black jeans, and spoke Zulu,” Lefakane added.
