Forty cattle stolen in Pelzvale

The police searched far and wide for approximately 40 heads of cattle that were allegedly stolen in Pelzvale on Thursday, 25 April.

Stock theft has been an escalating problem in the Randfontein area and this time, Pelzvale was the target.

At about 3pm on Thursday, 25 April, approximately 40 cattle were stolen in the area.

Sergeant Carmen Hendricks, Randfontein Police spokesperson confirmed the incident.

Randfontein Police and the Community Policing Forum (CPF) were on the scene, and by 4pm, 36 of the alleged stolen cattle had been found and three suspects arrested. Police continued their search for the rest of the cattle.

Hendricks said the investigation is ongoing and more information will follow as soon as it becomes available.
