Get to know a ‘Teiner #111 – Papise Moraka

The 111th person in the Herald’s Get to know a Randfonteiner project introduces himself.

Meet 25-year-old Papise Moraka, our Teiner of the Week who said he may be a man of few words but he lets his work speak for him.

Papise, who originally comes from the North West province, said he came to Gauteng in 2012 to make a living for him and his family, as well as those who depend on him.

“My job as a car washer may seem very simple, but trust me, when I wash clients’ cars well, I leave them very happy; something I strive for on a daily basis. I really love this job,” Papise said.

Asked about his future prospects, Papise said he would like to have a fully equipped car wash of his own, where he will teach others to do the job properly.

“Given the fact that I am not educated, I saw washing cars as a gateway to earning a living. I have always believed that whatever you do, do it properly and with passion – or simply do not bother,” Papise said.
