It’s #ThrowbackThursday and the Herald went back in time to the 8 May 1987 edition in which we featured Dr Connie Mulder on the front page. He founded the Connie Mulder Centre in 1975.
The Herald caught up with Gordon Henney to find out a bit more about why Dr Connie Mulder saw the need to contribute to those who were disabled. Gordon applauded Dr Mulder’s brainchild, saying that the centre is a special facility that ensures the dignity and the rights of those who are disabled.
“The centre currently employs a total of 54 staff members. This is the legacy Dr Mulder has left, not only for the people of Randfontein but for the West Rand at large,” he added.
