Get to know a ‘Teiner’ #114 – Ryno van Jaarsveld
The 114th person in the Herald’s Get to know a Randfonteiner project introduces himself.
Meet our ‘Teiner’ of the Week, 40-year-old Ryno van Jaarsveld, who has a passion for helping people.
Ryno is originally from Port Elizabeth, but has called the West Rand his home for the past nine years.
“I joined the staff of one of the private hospitals in Randfontein about 18 months ago, where I work as the Nursing Services Manager. It gives me great pleasure to help people heal,” he said.
Ryno said that there are cases where patients can’t be healed and he likes to help them so that their last moments can be dignified. He is also busy with his PhD in Nursing.
“When I’m not in the hospital, I enjoy horseback riding and reading,” Ryno added.
