Woman gets new and improved food truck

Watercare Mining recently sponsored a brand new food truck for Alina Matsaung, who used to sell food out of her red caravan on their sidewalk.

Alina Matsaung, a passionate entrepreneur who runs a food business from a caravan, doesn’t have to fear criminals any more. Her food truck will be safely behind a gate at night from now on.

Since 2016, Alina’s bright red caravan has regularly been targeted by criminals. It was parked in front of Watercare Mining for more than four years, but she has since received a new food truck from them.

Eileen Denton, human resource supervisor of Watercare Mining, said that when the time came to decide what they were going to do for their enterprise development, helping someone like Alina in their immediate environment seemed like the right choice.

The brand new Mac Ali’s Kitchen was officially handed over to Alina on Friday, 7 June during a joyous ceremony that included non-alcoholic champagne and ceremonial ribbon-cutting.
