Six injured in minibus-tractor crash
A minibus rear-ended a tractor on the R54 on the far West Rand leaving six injured.
Six people were injured when a minibus rear-ended a tractor on the R54 near Fochville on the far West Rand on Monday, 8 July.
According to Russel Meiring, ER24 spokesperson, “ER24 personnel along with another service provider arrived on the scene at about 8.30am to find the minibus in the middle of the road while the tractor was found parked on the side of the road.
“Medics assessed the patients and found that all six people from the minibus had sustained minor to moderate injuries. The driver of the tractor fortunately escaped injury. The patients were treated and thereafter transported to nearby provincial hospitals for further care.”
Local authorities were on the scene for further investigations.
