JUST IN: Horrific Elandsvlei crash claims three lives
Three people have been confirmed dead following a horror accident between a vehicle and truck in Elandsvlei.
A horror accident has claimed the lives of three people in Elandsvlei on Monday afternoon (22 July).
Kenny Mampondo, chief of the Rand West City Traffic Department confirmed to Tumi Riba, Herald journalist who is on scene that three people have been confirmed dead following an accident between a light motor vehicle and truck on Ventersdorp Road in Elandsvlei. He added the truck then overturned and had burst into flames.
Motorists should rather avoid the area,” he said.
According to Bennie Mohlabeng, Regional Commander of the Randfontein Fire and Rescue Services they are currently at the scene and investigating.
“Clearing the road and accident scene might take the entire night.”
