Plenty raised at SPCA’s Christmas in July

The Randwest SPCA managed to raise nearly R4 000 at a 'Christmas in July' fundraiser held on Sunday, 28 July in conjunction with the Annual General Meeting.

The Rand West SPCA held its much-anticipated Christmas in July fundraiser this past weekend.

Louise Leonard of the Rand West SPCA was thrilled with the support they had on the day (28 July) as close to R4 000 was raised. The fundraiser also coincided with their Annual General Meeting (AGM).

She also updated the public on their current financial status.

“In the few weeks of the new financial year there have been five animals adopted. So far we have only done two Facebook appeals for financial donations and have we been blessed and managed to raise R10 000 which is great!

“Going forward, we will make use of fundraisers and encourage the public to attend meetings.”
